I am Technology Director for Studio3 and have responsibilities for all company information technology.
I am a number of things – one of which is a trainer but there are many aspects to this as with everything else in the world. I have been working for Studio3 since 1994 as lead trainer. I have a range of experiences across the care industry. Since joining Studio3 I have been exposed to a vast range of individuals, across all care fields, who were considered to be challenging. I have represented Studio3 by facilitating training in several countries.
I have responsibilities to the Train the Trainers scheme and am currently responsible for syllabus consistency and co-coordinating trainers Continuing Professional Development.
I have several qualifications in hypnotherapy, time line therapy and Neuro Linguistic Programming. Info on these disciplines that can be seen on my cv page (to follow) I believe in life long learning and as such have a long history studying with the Open University. I hold a number of graduate and post graduate qualifications including: child development; research methods; cognitive psychology; cognition – damaged brains and neural networks; digital communications. I have completed my MSc in Psychology this (2009). To view a list of education and qualifications please see this Open University summary PDF dated 24/07/10 these change as qualifications are achieved so I will put the date on them.
Many years ago I taught Jitsu in a couple of clubs in the South East. Many years later my youngest does not have the facility to learn Jitsu where we live so I am organising opening a club. So I may have to say I am a Martial Arts instructor in this page about me.
I am also studying French & Manadarin Chinese. And listen to audio books when I can fit it in. And within all these things I am an early adopter of technology and sci fi fan. I develop sites and web apps using various technologies and work daily with html, python, php, ajax, sql, css some javascript and others as issues arise. I like the satisfaction in trying to work through – “how can I make this technology work the way I want it to?”. I run the studio3 group sites and backoffice system where our daily admin is run across the web as most of our staff are using remote access. I can ramble about tech stuff for a while so see the page on tech stuff (to follow)
